How to renew a Real Estate License in Minnesota

Real estate agents need to renew their licenses at regular intervals as a requirement by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The process of renewing your real estate license in Minnesota is fairly simple and includes the following steps: 

Step 1: Complete your Minnesota Real Estate CE Course

The first step towards your Minnesota real estate license is completing the required state-approved Minnesota Continuing Education course. 

Step 2: Complete your Minnesota real estate license renewal application

Once you have completed your continuing education course and course exam, you need to go to the Minnesota Department of Commerce website and update your course completion numbers. 

Step 3: Pay the Minnesota real estate license renewal fees

Lastly, you need to pay the renewal fees to complete the renewal process.
