Can I still ask my instructor questions outside of session hours?

Yes. For content questions outside of session hours, use the Ask An Instructor link available throughout Part I of your course. Your instructor will respond within one business day.

What if I can’t attend a session window?

Multiple session windows are available each week so you can choose what works with your schedule. Your Part

How does the Massachusetts pre-licensing course work?

The 40-hour Massachusetts pre-licensing course is divided into two parts. Part I (19 hours) is fully self-paced — complete it anytime, at your own speed. Part II (21 hours) requires Part I to be completed first, and is only accessible during scheduled instructor session windows, as required by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons. During these windows, a state-approved instructor is available via Zoom to answer your questions in real time while you work through the course content.

Why is Part II of my course locked?

Massachusetts state regulations require that at least 21 hours of your pre-licensing course include live, realtime interaction with a state-approved instructor. To meet this requirement, Part II of your course is only accessible during scheduled instructor session windows. Once a session opens, you’ll be able to launch the course and connect with your instructor directly via Zoom. Check your course dashboard for the full session schedule.

When can I access Part II of my course?

Part II is available during the following instructor session windows each week:
– Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday — 8:00–11:00am ET

That’s six windows per week to fit around your schedule. Your progress is saved between sessions so you can
pick up right where you left off.

Do I have to be on camera or attend a lecture during Part II?

No. You work through the course content at your own pace during the session window. Your instructor is available via Zoom live chat throughout the session to answer your questions in real time. You are not required to attend a lecture or turn on your camera — you simply need to be in the course during an open session window with your instructor available.

Your Part II progress is saved between sessions, so you can pick up right where you left off each time you join.
