Beginning January 1, 2021, salesperson applicants must complete a 90-hour pre-licensing course approved by the Commission. No post-licensure hours are required for applicants who have completed the 90-hour course.

If an applicant completed a commission-approved 45-hour pre-licensure course prior to January 1, 2021, this education is accepted by the Commission for two years after the date on the course certificate, and no additional pre-licensure education is required. However, those licensees who completed the 45-hour pre-licensure course must, within 1 year after initial licensure as a salesperson, complete 15 hours of post-licensure education. This post-licensure education can be any courses approved by the commission. The salesperson’s broker must furnish copies of these post-licensure certificates to the Commission.

An applicant for a salesperson’s license may take the examination prior to fulfillment of the pre-licensing education requirement however the Commission may not issue a salesperson’s license to an applicant until certification of the completion of the pre-licensing education is provided
