Nebraska Real Estate Salesperson License Requirements

1. General Nebraska Salesperson License Requirements

The general requirements for real estate salespersons defined by the Nebraska Real Estate Commission website are as follows:

  • Be at least nineteen (19) years of age.
  • Have a high school diploma, GED, or evidence of participation or enrollment in a homeschool program from the Department of Education

3. Additional Salesperson License Requirements in Nebraska

If you meet the general requirements and have completed your required course credit hours, you will need to complete the following steps to get your Salesperson license:

  • Apply for the Nebraska Salesperson examination
  • Submit fingerprints for a criminal background check
  • Successfully pass the Nebraska Salesperson licensing exam with a score of 75% or higher
  • Obtain sponsorship from a licensed Nebraska broker
  • Complete the Nebraska Real Estate License application

Regulatory Notes:

Obtaining Certificate of Course Completion: Upon completion of the course, Colibri Real Estate will provide you an electronic certificate of completion in your account dashboard. You will need to submit your certificate of completion with your license application. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time, therefore that will be the time reflected on your certificate.

A list of students including their address and their ss# must be forwarded to the Commission within 10 days after completion.
