This course examines the essential components of the law of agency. The content includes a synopsis of the history of agency law, common law, and the development of agency relationships through the years. It will then summarize responsibilities surrounding a seller's agency relationship, a buyer's agency relationship, and the various other agency relationships that exist. In the second chapter, the course details those agency policies Michigan brokers can choose from, along with several case illustrations of the legal liability facing licensees.
