Here's what you need to renew your Utah Real Estate license

The information below is a summary of the minimum requirements set forth by the Utah Department of Commerce. For a more detailed requirements breakdown, please see the board's site.

Utah Real Estate: Sales Agent (Pre-Licensing)

Utah Real Estate requires a timing mechanism is also required for all distance education courses to ensure that courses cannot be completed in less time than the approved credit hours. Please note that your course will time out after 10 minutes of inactivity!

Utah Real Estate: Salesperson First Time Renewal Requirements (Post Licensing)

First Renewal Only: To renew at the end of the first renewal cycle, all new Utah Real Estate Agents are required to take the 12-Hour New Agent Course, the 3-Hour Mandatory Course, and an additional 3 hours of CE (either Core Topic or Elective hours).

Licensees are to take their Continuing Education by the 15th of the month of expiration, in order to renew on time, without incurring a $50 late fee.

No Final Exam Passing Requirement.

Licensees may only take up to 8 hours of CE per day.

There are no limits on the number of CE hours allowed to be taken online.
