This is one of the five courses required to fulfill the 30-hour post-license education requirement in South Carolina. This course covers the essential characteristics of contracts; the need for consideration (money or other things of value) in exchange for collateral such as real properties; lawful objectives; voidable, void, and illegal actions; consent, and how to modify or update existing signed agreements or contracts. It also covers mortgages and other types of financing options, deeds of trust, title searches, RESPA and TRID disclosures, and the closing process.
