This two-hour Buyer Agency (RE02R24) course is designed for Massachusetts real estate licensees to examine the history and fundamentals of buyer agency, agency disclosure obligations, client counseling, and other legal issues. Chapter 1 delves into key agency-related definitions, the establishment of buyer agency relationships, and the OLD CAR duties agents owe to their clients. It also explains the details of providing the MA Mandatory Licensee-Consumer Relationship Disclosure form to consumers and the types of licensee-consumer relationships available in Massachusetts. In Chapter 2, you’ll look at dual and designated agency before exploring client counseling, company policy, recordkeeping, buyer agent compensation, and the termination of buyer agency relationships. Chapter 2 also covers other legal issues, including state and federal lead paint laws, psychologically impacted property, the Home Inspector Law, and Chapter 93A.
