Here's what you need to renew your Oklahoma Real Estate license

Oklahoma Real Estate: Sales Associate (Pre-Licensing)

- 1. Comply with the General Oklahoma Real Estate License Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age to obtain a real estate license in Oklahoma
- Be of good moral character
- 2. Meet the Educational Real Estate License Requirements in Oklahoma - Enroll Today
- Submit evidence to the commission of successful completion of an approved 90 hour basic real estate course, OR
- Submit proof of completion of six college credit hours in a real estate discipline
- Complete your education within the previous 36 months prior to application
- 3. Get a broker affiliation. Sign with a broker before you take the exam. But, this isn't a pre-exam requirement.
- 4. Pass a national background check that includes being fingerprinted
- 5. Pass the Oklahoma real estate license exam:The Oklahoma real estate license exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions (to be completed within 3 hours)
- 80 questions on the national portion
- 40 questions on the state-specific portion
You must earn answer 75% or more of the questions correctly to pass the exam.
How much does it cost to get an Oklahoma real estate license?
An Oklahoma real estate license costs:- $41 for Application for Real Estate License- with a completed fingerprint card with all information complete including a photo, proof of citizenship and proof of education.

Oklahoma Real Estate: Provisional Sales Associate (Post Licensing)

Once a Provisional Sales Associate has provided the Real Estate Commission with evidence of completion of a post-licensing course and has submitted the appropriate form with fees at the end of their one year license term their license will be issued as a Sales Associate.

Oklahoma Real Estate: Resident Broker (Continuing Education)

Resident Broker during any portion of their current license term shall be required to successfully complete the Broker in Charge course as approved by the Commission consisting of fifteen (15) clock hours, or its equivalent, as approved by the Commission.
In addition, to complete the continuing education requirement of twenty-one (21) clock hours such broker shall complete at least two (2) of the six (6) required subject matter, equal to at least six (6) clock hours:
Broker Relationships (BRA)
Code and Rules (CAR)
Contracts and Forms (CON)
Fair Housing (FHR)
Hot Topic (HOT) (will consist of a variety of issues ranging from Code and Rule updates to major industry concerns)
Professional Conduct (PSC)
Any licensee may complete the Broker in Charge course as approved by the Commission consisting of fifteen (15) clock hours in lieu of the required subject matter.
Provisional Sales Associates: Provisional Sales Associates have a separate and unique post-license requirement and they are not required to complete continuing education. The Part II Post license course is required to be completed prior to the one-year license expiration date. This course can not be taken prior to a license being issued; this course must be completed prior to the one-year license expiration date.

Oklahoma Real Estate: Resident Sales Associates and Resident Broker Associate (Continuing Education)

Resident Broker Associate and Resident Sales Associate licensees are required to complete 21 hours of continuing education every 3 years. Licensees are required to take at least one hour in each of the six required topics, with the remainder being made up in elective hours.
