This three-hour course reviews various aspects of a real estate transaction. Chapter 1 focuses on the disclosure obligations for both real estate licensees and property owners who are selling real estate. Disclosure is one of the most critical topics for a licensee as it is a common source of complaints and resulting disciplinary action. Chapter 2 takes a look at two specific contingencies that are found in the WB-11 Residential Offer to Purchase, financing and appraisal, and looks at them in context with some related concepts. In Chapter 3, we’ll continue the discussion of contingencies as we revisit the inspection contingency and discuss the role of the home inspector in a real estate transaction.
