2023-2024 Course 2 Wisconsin Legal Updates and Review

Real estate transactions are governed by various laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. Staying informed about changes in these laws ensures that licensees conduct their business in a legal and compliant manner. Failure to comply with relevant laws can lead to legal disputes, fines, and even the revocation of a licensee's real estate license.

This three-hour course focuses on recent Wisconsin legislation and court cases that relate to the practice of real estate. Chapter 1 examines a number of new or amended Wisconsin statutes, and Chapter 2 focuses on decisions in court cases that can impact your practice as well. Finally, in Chapter 3, we’ll take a fresh look at the important topic of fair housing as we discuss implicit bias and diversity.
