Courses:
  • Michigan Fair Housing Compliance: This course is approved for one hour of CE for Michigan real estate licensees. Fair and equitable treatment in housing and real estate transactions is a right by law. The purpose of the course is to ensure licensees know and can comply with the federal Fair Housing Act and Michigan’s Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act.
  • Michigan Agency Law: This course examines the essential components of the law of agency. The content includes a synopsis of the history of agency law, common law, and the development of agency relationships through the years. It will then summarize responsibilities surrounding a seller's agency relationship, a buyer's agency relationship, and the various other agency relationships that exist. In the second chapter, the course details those agency policies Michigan brokers can choose from, along with several case illustrations of the legal liability facing licensees.
  • Taking the Distress Out of Distressed Properties: Learn from industry experts who have worked closely with distressed property transactions. Though foreclosures and short sale properties aren't as prevalent as they were following the housing bubble burst, there are still homeowners considering short sales as a way to avoid foreclosure. There are also lenders interested in reducing their inventory of foreclosed properties. In this course, learn how to expand your business while serving the needs of sellers, buyers, and lenders.
  • May the Code Be With You: This course covers the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics, ethical practices, and decision-making in real estate. This course may be approvable for REALTORS® interested in fulfilling NAR's Code of Ethics requirement. To find out, check with your local REALTORS® association.
  • Serving Generational Clients: Real estate professionals need to stay aware of demographic shifts that impact consumers' home buying and selling. This course focuses on the demographics and home buying and selling trends for six generation groups: Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, and Generations X, Y, Z, and A. Based on four important generation home buying trends, specific focus is given to environmentally-friendly home features, multi-generational home solutions, planned unit developments, and first-time home buyer preparedness.
