This course reviews the statutes and rules that govern broker duties, outlines the responsibilities of keeping records and overseeing trust accounts, and looks at misrepresentation, relating to both advertising and disclosure, as it pertains to the designated broker's obligation to supervise and review all brokerage's actions while advertising. It will also describe major features of contracts, covering the requirements for valid contracts in Arizona, including real estate and employment agreements. It explains the agent’s role to oversee agreements and make sure that salespersons and associates are carrying out their responsibilities under the law. It will identify and describe statues and regulations that govern listing and property management agreements. This course will help brokers understand how the Real Estate Department audits and regulates the activities of brokerages, as well as how it handles complaints, investigations, enforcement, and discipline. It also reviews the Department’s enforcement powers and processes.
