How to get a Real Estate License in Colorado
To become a real estate agent in Colorado, you must first get your Colorado real estate license. The process of getting your real estate license generally takes a few months and includes the following steps:

Enroll in a Colorado real estate school
The first step to getting your Colorado real estate license is to enroll in a real estate school and complete a 168-hours hour real estate pre-licensing course.

Pass the course final exam
Once you have completed the Colorado 168-hour real estate pre-licensing course, you must pass a course exam that will help prepare you for the state exam. The exam consists of 80 questions with a minimum passing score of 75%.

Complete the background check
You may need to submit a background check to verify your identity and right to work as a real estate agent in Colorado.

Apply for your Colorado real estate license
Submit your application online by filling out the relevant form with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies – Real Estate Division. After your real estate license application has been approved, you will receive a letter of approval or eligibility from the Division.

Pass the state license exam
Once you complete your course requirements and have received your approval of eligibility, you can take the Colorado Real Estate license exam. Colorado Real estate license exams are generally scheduled every month at a place designated by the Commission.
